A husband and wife who raised thousands for the Yorkshire Air Ambulance have handed over the cheque to the charity.
Steve and Kath Johnston from Bubwith held a race night in September to raise funds after relying on their services following a garden accident. They visited the charity at its base at Nostell last week. Rob Scott, East Yorkshire Regional Fundraiser for Yorkshire Air Ambulance, said: “We would like to say a huge thank you to Kath and Steve Johnson for organising their recent race night and raising £6,566,29 for our charity. “It costs £12,000 a day to keep both of Yorkshire’s air ambulances maintained and in the air and the money raised will help greatly towards the vital funding of our service.” (18-11-246 SU)
