Selby Abbey will welcome one of the most famous brass bands in the world later this month - as the historic venue will host the Black Dyke Band on Saturday, October 23.
The band will be playing a selection of pieces from 7pm (doors open at 18:30), with the concert acting as their first major evening concert since the start of the pandemic and tickets are selling fast.
Tickets are priced at £17.50 and can be purchased online through Eventbrite, accessed through Selby Abbey’s website, or in the Abbey’s gift shop. Any remaining tickets will be available to purchase on the doors, however, organisers expect to be sold out.
Wine and soft drinks will be available on the night.
Grace Chapman, the Abbey’s community engagement coordinator, said: “We’re excited to be welcoming Black Dyke Band again. We have been so long without our evening concerts, and we know they have been missed by many. We have loved having our organ recitals back and are glad to be finally moving back towards evening concerts and events to share with the local community.”
